Our Team

Dave Spitzer
Grew up near Watkins Glen and enjoyed an 18 year in professional auto racing as an engineer and executive. Currently leads design of hybrid powerplants for flying cars while racing on the ground. Hit age 50 and finally shifted all availabe free time to the boyhood dream of driving. SCCA wins and a Championship before moving to WRL in 2026.

Tony Roma
A lifelong automotive enthusiast raised in the heart of Detroit, he brings over 30 years of GM experience to the paddock. His racing resume includes three appearances at the SCCA Runoffs—featuring two hard-fought podium finishes—and a deep-seated passion for the Green Hell, where he has conquered the 24 Hours of Nürburgring four times, culminating in a spectacular class win in 2025. He has been driving with TC Kline Racing since 2022, consistently bringing a wealth of technical expertise and competitive drive to the team

Shaun Bailey
Tombstone will read "played with cars." Was a journalist with Road & Track for 13 years, been there-done-that around the world. Gave up the fun of driving cars with R&T and joined GM in 2012. Supported a variety of programs -always trying to enable cool shit- Launch Control in the Escalade V is a notable accomplishment. Racing for Shaun is the natural result of a lifelong passion for driving cars and having the engineering know-how to make them go faster.

Alex MacDonald
Alex couldn't be bothered to write something so we all get to imagine what he might be like...

TC Kline
A racer for 40 years, TC Kline has been a figure in professional and amateur sports car racing since the mid 1980s. He has an extensive background with BMWs and still sells suspension kits for those cars. His history also includes lots of Honda, VW and Porsche time, and he now adds preparing the Corvette to his resume. TC is very proud of the build on the Corvette and has accumulated valuable knowledge he can use to build more.

Sarah Mitchell
The support that every good team needs, you will find Sarah on the refueling crew and pitching in wherever needed. With a passion for GIS and all that technology can unlock, she is very clearly a “car girl” at heart.
Origin Story
where does the name come from?
A mountain road…your favorite onramp…the sound of WOT…if you are on this site you “get” what it feels like to drive with passion. Driving connects with the human mind, body, and spirit in unique and special ways.
Neil Peart, drummer and lyricist for the iconic prog-rock band Rush captured the passion for driving in the lyrics for Red Barchetta. From the Moving Pictures album, Red Barchetta is set in a dystopian future where cars are outlawed and the main character sneaks out for a weekend drive. These lines connected with me at age 10 and have been at the heart of my dreams ever since – both on the track and on the street:
Wind…in my hair | Shifting and drifting | Mechanical music…..Adrenaline Surge!!
Well-weathered leather | Hot metal and oil | The scented country air | Sunlight on chrome | The blur of the landscape | Every nerve aware
Whether driving this Corvette or any from Matick Chevy, every nerve is aware!
